Join LHS co-founder, Mike Peters of The Alarm, for a magical, musical, breath taking trekking challenge across the remote highlands of Iceland from 11th to 16th September 2019.
Starting in the popular and stunning region of Landmannalaugar, locally known as the ‘hiking hub’, you will trek for 55km over three days through lava fields and across multi-coloured mountains next to shining glaciers. This trek has some of the best topography anyone could ever want from a trekking challenge.
From the bright lights of Reykjavic, to the tranquil warm waters of the springs and rivers, this adventure promises to be a journey of a lifetime. With a strong possibility that you’ll take in the natural wonder of the Northern lights, Iceland Rocks promises to be unforgettable.
In 2018 the Rock the Canyons trekkers raised over £30,000 for Love Hope Strength. Like Rock the Canyons, the funds raised this year will support: LHS’ Get On The List programme; equipment and special projects to help families affected by cancer in the UK and USA; and grants to help organisations working with people affected by cancer in underprivileged areas across the globe.
Like Rock the Canyons, Iceland Rocks trekkers will enjoy an end of trek gig with Mike Peters and guest musicians. Everyone is welcome to come to Reykjavik for this intimate gig on 15th September! More details of the gig will follow soon.
